PHY 330 - Classical MechanicsInstructor Belloni, Kharel, M. Kuchera, A. Kuchera Newtonian principles are used with differential, integral, and vector calculus to analyze classical dynamics. Lagrangian and Hamiltonian formulations of mechanics are also developed and applied. Topics may include: linear and non-linear oscillations, gravitational systems, the calculus of variations, many-particle systems, non-inertial reference frames, rigid-body dynamics, normal modes, and wave theory. |
