ENG 443 - Premodern Women Writers

This seminar will explore in depth women writers in England from the 12th to the 17th century, consider the complex relationships between authorship and authority, and cross over the usual boundaries between medieval and Early Modern—as did, in fact, these boundary-crossing early women writers themselves.
