BIO 209 - Introduction to Bioinformatics (= CSC 209)

(Cross-listed as CSC 209, Introduction to Bioinformatics) An interdisciplinary introduction to computer science and structured programming using the Python programming language in the context of biological datasets and applications, including algorithms for analyzing genomic data.

Students entering 2012 and after: satisfies the Mathematical and Quantitative Thought distribution requirement.

Not open to students with credit for CSC 121.  (Offered fall of odd-numbered years.)
