POL 361 - Evolution and Practice of U.S. Policy in the Americas (formerly POL 345)

This course traces the evolution of United States involvement in Latin America beginning with the War of 1898 and continuing through the present day. It focuses on recent US-Latin American issues such as the war on drugs, undocumented immigration, and intermittent U.S. interventions in the hemisphere.

Students entering 2012 and after: satisfies the Historical Thought distribution requirement.
Students entering before 2012: satisfies Social Science distribution requirement.
Counts toward International Studies interdisciplinary minor and Latin American Studies major.
