GRE 201 - Intermediate Greek

This course fulfills the college’s language requirement and is your gateway to advanced Greek at Davidson. Together, we’ll review the language’s grammar, read and discuss a variety of excerpts in prose from selected prose authors (e.g., Herodotus, Thucydides, Xenophon and Plato) and explore concepts such as semantics, pronunciation and translation.

Prof. Toumazou will be on campus, and he welcomes the opportunity to meet outside of class- both in-person and digitally-throughout the semester.

Fulfills the foreign language requirement.

GRE 103 or placement test. (Offered annually. Fall only.)
