Topics include drug discovery, pharmacokinetics (delivery of a drug to the site of its action), pharmacodynamics (mode of action of the drug), drug metabolism, and patent issues that affect the development and manufacture of pharmaceuticals.

Prerequisite: Chemistry 202. No laboratory.
