A general introduction to music, covering the vocabulary and methods essential to the scholarly study of music. Music to be studied will come from a wide span of history, cultures, and geography.

Prerequisites & Notes
No music training required. Students planning to major in music should complete this course by the end of the sophomore year. (Fall, Spring)
