ANT 340 - Medical Anthropology Instructor

Cross-cultural study of belief systems concerning health and illness, practices of diagnosis and treatment, western biomedicine, and non-Western medical systems. The interaction of ecological and cultural factors that influence disease manifestations, and the biocultural context of sickness and therapy are explored.
Students entering 2012 and after: satisfies the Social-Scientific Thought distribution requirement.
Students entering before 2012: satisfies Social Science distribution requirement.
