BIO 303 - Biochemistry Instructor

Introduction to the principles of biochemistry. Emphasis is placed on enzymology, structure of biomolecules, and cellular metabolism. Laboratory emphasizes enzyme purification and characterization.
Satisfies a requirement in Group A of the Biology major.
Satisfies a requirement in the Chemistry major.
Satisfies a requirement in the Neuroscience major and interdisciplinary minor.
Satisfies a requirement in the Genomics major and interdisciplinary minor.
Satisfies a requiremet in the Bioinformatics major.
Prerequisites & Notes Successful completion of BIO 111/113 and CHE 250 are required. One laboratory meeting per week.
Fall 2020- All lectures will be conducted online and synchronously, with recordings available for those who cannot attend. Lab section is “flex” and offered face-to-face for all who can attend, but any remote students will be able to complete the lab component of the course.
