GRE 103 - Intensive Introductory Greek

For beginners. No prior acquaintance with Greek assumed! Together, we’ll cover the whole of ancient Greek grammar, reading excerpts from Greek literature along the way. By the conclusion of the semester, you will be thoroughly prepared for GRE 201, which fulfills he college’s language requirement and serves as gateway to advanced courses in ancient Greek.

Prof. Cheshire will be on campus, and he welcomes the opportunity to meet outside of class - both in-person and digitally - throughout the semester.

Requires participation in AT sessions. Meets five days a week.
[Equivalent to Greek 101 and 102, counting for two courses.]

Spring 2021
If all enrolled in this class are on campus for the spring semester, then this course will meet synchronously and in person every day. Otherwise, the course will be conducted in a hybrid fashion, with some meetings held in person, and some online, in order to provide remote students with the best possible experience. Prof. Cheshire will be on campus this fall, and he welcomes the opportunity to meet outside of class - both in-person and digitally - throughout the semester.
