SOC 232 - Medical Sociology Instructor

A brief early history, methods, theory, and concepts of social science research on health and health care mainly from the last half of the previous century to the present. We will explore gender, race, class, age, and social differences in the experiences of individuals as they deal with health and illness across their life course. The course will provide students with a sociological analysis of a broad array of health/illness issues and the health services industry.
Satisfies Public Health major and minor requirement.
Meets the Justice, Equality, and Community requirement.
