BIO 351 - Transcriptional Regulation Instructor
D. Thurtle-Schmidt
In this group investigation course, students will investigate the molecular basis of transcriptional regulation through novel, original research. Using C. elegans as the model, students will design and execute experiments, using a combination of genomic, computational, and classical genetic techniques. Students will give frequent oral presentation and synthesize their results and findings in a final write-up. Additionally, students will read current literature to integrate their findings with current research in transcriptional regulation.
Prerequisites & Notes Successful completion of BIO 111/113 and 112/114, plus one of the following: BIO 201, 202, 208/238, 209, 303, 306/336, 307/337, 309, or 333 and permission of instructor are required.
