PSY 371 - Advanced Seminar: Data Visualization in Psychology

This seminar comprehensively explores data visualization in psychology. Attention is devoted to the visual analysis of quantitative information, particularly in regard to the interpretation and evaluation of scatterplots, histograms, line graphs, boxplots, heatmaps, et cetera. Considerable emphasis is placed on the creation of new data visualizations via the use of the ggplot2 package in R. Coding and data exploration will be central components of this course, and prior experience with R and elementary statistics is necessary, such as that received in PSY 200: Research Design and Statistics.

Satisfies Psychology major requirement.
