ENG 499 - Seminar: Senior Honors Thesis- Gossip

This is the exciting, nerve-wracking, accomplishment-filled, culminating semester for Honors students!

Students accepted into the Honors program in English for 2025-26 will develop original intellectual and creative projects that are the culmination of their degree work at Davidson. ENG 499 is the second half of the required two-course sequence meant to support Honors students as they carry out the necessary research, reading, and writing.

In ENG 499, we will:

• Carry out research and reading necessary for continued development and successful completion of the Honors Thesis
• Finish the composition of thesis writing begun in the fall
• Engage in peer review and offer constructive criticism to classmates
• Discuss strategies for revision and final submission of the thesis
• Prepare for and participate in a final celebration of completed thesis work!
