BIO 105 - Biology for Life + Lab

A course designed for non-biology majors at an introductory level that introduces students to a broad variety of biological topics with an emphasis on subjects that will remain relevant outside of class or biology itself, such as climate change and disease. The course includes opportunities to develop interdisciplinary connections relating to biological concepts. The laboratory component emphasizes and develops one’s ability to think critically and approach questions like a scientist. Students will develop skills related to presentation, communication, and quantitative reasoning in the laboratory portion of the course.

Satisfies Natural Science requirement.

Prerequisites & Notes
No prerequisites. Students cannot have taken any biology course numbered above BIO110.
