BIO 116 - Evolution, Physiology, Ecology plus Lab Instructor

BIO116 is an introductory biology course that explores concepts and methods in biology that apply to organisms, populations, species, communities, and ecosystems. This course emphasizes student engagement in the process of science and the interdisciplinary nature of modern biology. The goal of the course is to understand evolution, physiology, and ecological interactions.
Students will develop skills in research methods, critical thinking, data interpretation, quantitative reasoning, and communication in multiple formats.All students are welcome in BIO116.
BIO115 and BIO116 may be taken in any order. BIO116 is not open to students with credit for BIO112 or BIO114.
