CHE 375 - Spectroscopy and Structural Determination in Organic Chemistry Instructor
Burde
This course expands on some of the spectroscopic identification you learnt in CHE 250 and CHE 350. Essentially it may be described as analytical organic chemistry. It is heavily weighted towards problem solving with a very minor lecture component. You will learn about NMR, IR, UV and Mass spectroscopy and how each of these can be used to elucidate the structure of organic molecules. Most topics in the course will be discussed briefly with most lecture periods dedicated to solving spectroscopic problems.
Satisfies a Chemistry major requirement.
