GSS 205 - Queer Pop Culture

This course examines distinct areas of pop culture with a focused lens on queer contributions and meaning-making. Students will study the history of LGBTQ+ creators and themes, exploring how marginalized communities have shaped and used popular culture as a site for identity formation and cultural expression. Students will focus on key areas of popular culture including music, film, television, fashion, and sports.

Satisfies Gender and Sexuality Studies major requirement.
