ANT 232 - Contemporary Ghanaian Society and Culture Instructor

Examination of Ghanaian family structure, gender roles, religious beliefs, social stratification, political economy, and inter-ethnic relations. Special emphasis is placed on understanding the legacy of colonialism and efforts to develop a national culture.
Students entering 2012 and after: satisfies the Social-Scientific Thought distribution requirement.
Students entering before 2012: satisfies Social Science distribution requirement.
Prerequisites & Notes (Summer 2014; offered in alternating years as part of the Davidson in Ghana summer program.)
