ENG 301 - Advanced Creative Nonfiction

Instructor
Norris

This class will focus on generating new creative nonfiction and considering the craft decisions that build it. We’ll read published work that helps us hone our skills, and you’ll be expected to present on contemporary writing, but the bulk of this course will be spent giving and receiving feedback on our own work. Formal range is encouraged: personal essay, memoir, reportage, profile, travel, hybrid, graphic, collage, braid, lyric, etc. are welcome. No matter the form your pieces take, they will be received in a supportive environment that views writing as a process and feedback as a way to help move your work closer to its truest self.
