Professional Roles and Pathways in Contemporary Public Health: Analysis and Application


This course focuses on analysis, reflection, and application about professional roles and leadership in contemporary, interdisciplinary public health. Drawing from key literature and engagement with public health leaders, students will critically examine key questions about professional pathways and competencies in public health, with particular attention to the relevance of the liberal arts and a liberal arts education. The course will involve consideration of personal and professional ethics, values, and strengths as well as role-playing and practice in relation to communication, relationship-building, and collaboration.
