PSY 312 - Data Visualization Instructor

This research methods courses focuses on the visual analysis of quantitative information, particularly regarding the interpretation and evaluation of scatterplots, histograms, line graphs, boxplots, heatmaps, et cetera. Considerable emphasis is placed on the creation of new data visualizations via the use of the ggplot2 and Shiny packages in R. Coding and data exploration will be central components of this course, and prior experience with R and elementary statistics is necessary; however, proficiency in these areas is neither required nor expected.
Satisfies Psychology major requirement.
