SOC 317 - Gender and Globalization

Explores the gendered effects of contemporary processes of globalization.  Focusing primarily on women’s lives, the course examines how cultural, political and economic globalizations are changing the landscape of gender relations.  Students will become familiar with many of the current issues and debates in transnational gender research.
