Selected interdisciplinary topics in German, Austrian, or Swiss culture. Covers various aspects of culture and society, including history, politics, economics, literature, film, art and architecture, music, mass media, and folk customs. Topics vary from year to year; samples include Weimar modernism, Berlin from the Enlightenment to the present, Vienna at the turn of the century, and the Holocaust in German history and culture.
